(n.) a lucky find
When I started to think about what the name for my business should be, I knew I wanted it to be something new, something special, something magical.
But apart from that, I had no idea how to find the perfect name.
So I did the obvious thing, Pinterest had to help out.
And once again it didn’t let me down.
”trouvaille” was indeed a lucky find.
The reason I resonated with this word so much is because, for me at least, that’s exactly what photography is about.
Of course you can plan a photo shoot, try to influence the conditions, the light, etc. as much as possible, but in the end you’ll just never know what you end up with.
I feel like when you break it down, you always have to get lucky to be able to transfer your idea into a great photo.
So in the end, every good picture is a “lucky find”
And that’s what makes photography so magical to me.
